All Valley Plumbing’s A to Z tank-type water heater installation process:

  1. Have the following information ready:
  1. Tank size of your current water heater.

  2. Where the water heater is located (In the garage on a 18” stand, in the basement down a flight of stairs, in a crawl space in the side of the house, etc.).

  3. Address where the installation will take place.

  1. Contact us and speak with a representative:
  1. Answer a few questions by our representatives.  He/she will recommend one or more model water heaters that fit your needs.  He/she will also inform you if there may be potential additional services and charges needed perform the installation.

    Our representative will not give you an estimate over the phone since he/she is not at the job site to physically inspect your existing facilities.

  2. Decide which model water heater you want.

  3. Decide on a payment method.

  4. Schedule an installation appointment with our representative. Appointments are usually made for that same business day or the following business day (we do not install water heaters on the weekends).

  1. Be present at the job site for the duration of the installation.  The installation will consist of:

  1. Our technician bringing the model water heater you purchased to the job site.

  2. Our technician performing a pre-installation inspection to determine the scope of work necessary to perform a legal installation.  Our inspections serve as estimates for additional charges, if applicable.

  3. The customer signing the inspection acknowledging any additional work and applicable charges necessary to legally install your water heater.

  4. The customer providing an accepted method of payment PRIOR to the start of the installation.

  5. Our technician installing the water heater according to the terms of the estimate. Your water heater will be hauled away by our technician at no additional cost.

  6. Our technician cleaning the job site.

  7. The customer signing a completion form stating the installation was completed satisfactorily.

  8. A building permit from the appropriate jurisdiction being mailed to the customer. When the permit is received, follow the instructions on the permit to schedule an inspection with an inspector from the applicable jurisdiction.

  9. The customer being present for the local jurisdiction’s inspection of the water heater.  (All Valley Plumbing will NOT be present during the initial inspection). Once the inspector signs the permit, the water heater installation is complete!
