How much will the
water heater and installation cost?
The typical range
for a tank-type water heater and
installation combined is between $900
and $1,350. (Please note that depending
on the additional work that may or may
not be required to install your
tank-type water heater to code, the
price may be outside of this range).
What size water
heater do I have now?
A common mistake people
make when they buy a tank-type water heater is
buying the wrong size tank. To make sure
you buy the right size tank, look for
the sticker on the water heater with
several gallon ratings and serial
numbers. The tank size of your heater is
indicated by wording like "CAPACITY US
GAL (50)." Please note, the "first hour
rating" does NOT indicate tank size.
